The Full Story
I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with my Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. I have over 24 years of healthcare experience. I am also a certified personal trainer, an IFBB Professional Figure Bodybuilder, and a Certified Weight Loss Specialist. I have a passion for helping others achieve their weight loss, health, and fitness goals. I host a podcast called "The Medical Weight Loss Show" dedicated to discussing weight loss, with new episodes released every Monday. I love that I get to do what I do on a daily basis.
As the owner of a brick and mortar weight loss clinic in Tennessee and the owner of a telemedicine practice where I treat patients in Florida and Arizona with a strong focus on weight loss, I see so many patients who truly want to lose the weight and keep it off for good. Unfortunately, many are weight cyclers or lose the weight just to see it come right back after stopping medications.
While medications are a great way to jump start a weight loss journey; if a true lifestyle change is not made, then a person will not be successful at keeping the weight loss off on a permanent basis. This is where diet and exercise comes into play. I want to help you be successful on your weight loss journey and live a healthy and vibrant life. I want you to look in the mirror and love the skin that you are in. I want you to love your body! I have heard countless stories of depression; as well as having anxiety, and even not wanting to go to the gym due to being afraid of what others might think due to being too embarrassed to go or just not knowing what to do once you arrive.
I have always promoted a judgement free atmosphere and a "no body shaming" zone no matter what size you may be. I want YOU to be happy with your look and your health. That's why I am here. We can do this together. It is a journey. It will not happen overnight. It won't be a quick fix. I do not believe in fad diets but I will help you reach your goals. Dedication, consistency, persistency, and patience, will be the keys to your success. So, let's go. I'm hear for it. Stay tuned for my upcoming book.
